Local and telecollaborative industrial virtual reality applications

Virtual Reality (VR) technology for industrial uses in the area of design, manufacturing, processing, logistics, transportation, and distribution decision support are studied. Current research includes; (i) Manipulation of objects using sensor data and real-time control inputs in a CAVE, C-Wall or ImmersaDesk4 environment; (ii) Integration of factory layout, material handling, and manufacturing equipment control models and (iii) Electronic collaboration between geographically dispersed designers.
